Sunrise
I went out Friday morning to try to get some sunrise shots. Didn't get much. I did get this nice one of the sun peeking over the clouds.

Then I took some unremarkable shots at the old Blimp Base in Hitchcock, Texas.
The Hitchcock Naval Air Station was a blimp base used for spotting German submarine activity during WWII. The 3,000 acre base was within the city limits of Hitchcock and construction began in 1942. The blimp hanger which held six aircraft was built for the astounding cost of $10 million. Dimensions of the hanger was 1,000 feet long by 300 feet wide and 200 feet high. Floor space was 300,000 square feet. They used to say they would catch clouds in the hangar and get rain inside! The base closed after the war and was used for several things for some years until it was damaged heavily by Hurricane Carla in 1961.
All that is left of the building are the four door hanging towers. It is private property and visitors are not encouraged. The place was called Camp Wallace, and I remember as a boy my mother and father would take us there sometimes for square dances in the meeting hall across the road. If I remember correctly, that hall had a bowling alley set up with the lanes marked on the dance floor and the pins were manually set up under the stage.
