Another Bokeh shot

While trying out my 50mm lens in Aperture Priority, I also shot this one of some weeds in front of some old dry leaves.

bokeh? is that the same, or similar as depth of field?

i looked it up.. got it .. now i'll have to try it Smile

good bokeh doesn't happen automatically in lens design. Perfect lenses render out-of-focus points of light as circles with sharp edges. Ideal bokeh would render each of these points as blurs, not hard-edged circles.
