movie!! MARLEY AND ME

the photo i'm posting is a pic of my moms puppy Molly. isn't she precious.. we call her molly moose..because she is enormous..i'll have to get some new pics...

.. but anyway.. i would just like to let everyone know. NOT .. to go see the movie MARLEY AND ME!

My story.. After a rough summer within our family unit and having to have 3 dogs put to rest, which also includes 3 dog funerals.. my parents search for a new friend, led them to a beautiful yellow lab, who they named MOLLY> she is hell on wheels, and full of spunk.. So when the previews of Marley and me, first started to show, i thought wonderful.. i 'll take my mom to this movie.. it will be fun.. NOT!!!!! Oh. it's a wonderful movie.. till about the last 45 minutes. where the dog becomes old, takes ill, and they have to make this agonizing decision to put him to sleep! omg.. what have i done. this is the last thing my mom needs. & myself for that matter. but yes.. they do put Marley to sleep. show it all. vets office, IV, needle, dog closes his eyes and 'rests' , Man is crying at the vets, family is 'reminicing' at home, kids are crying.. my moms crying, i'm crying, Holy Crap!!

No where have i seen anything but fun, upbeat, hysterical, ads for this movie,, a wonderful family movie.. and bring the kids!!
well i would just like to let you all know. that this is not a movie for anyone who has recently lost a loved pet. or if you have a sensitive child.

i feel much better now that i've gotten that off my chest..
but just be forwarned if your wanting to see this.....

so i've gotten no feedback.. has anyone else seen this movie?? and what was your take on it.. I was totally disappointed in the whole dying dog thing.

Ole Yeller died. But he was replaced by a new yellow dog, though. Maybe Molly can be the replacement for Marley?

IVE SEEN THE MOVIE... I LOVED IT!!! ANY MOVIE THAT CAN MAKE YOU LAUGH SO HARD YOU CRY AND MAKE YOU CRY SO HARD YOU LAUGH GETS AN A+ IN MY BOOK...

BUT YOU HAD TO KINDA SEE IT COMING... ALL PETS EVENTUALLY DIE... AS SAD AS IT IS...

THATS WHY IM HAVING MY LEXIE CLONED...

I agree it was a hysterical movie.. until.... but i was just so disappointed because i have seen no ads at all that hinted to that kind of ending.. So here i take my mom. because they have a lab pup. who is the 2nd worst dog in the world she is having such a hard time with her so i thought this would be a good funny movie for us to see.. But the worst part is that she lost 2 dogs this summer. one of old age. and one that became very ill . and i also had to have an older dog put to sleep.. so that made it very hard to watch.. I wish they had brought in a new pup, or something ya know.. anyway.. but i agree the beginning was so funny, and we enjoyed that..
But honestly had i known it ended that way, i certainly would not have gone.. Which may be why they didn't advertise that..
We have all decided thou that our Molly isnt the worst dog in the world.. she doesn't eat couches. or phones.. yet!!

I understand... I had a similar experience with "The Family Stone"... It looked like a comedy... so I bought it for my Mom as a Birthday gift... (This was a couple of years ago)... anyway... at the end the Mom ends up dying while her daughter is pregnant... which is exactly what happend to my Mom when she was pregnant with me and her Mom died... It was a really good movie... but if I had known I wouldnt have given the movie to my Mom...
