From what I understand there is suppose to be a meteor shower tonight. I'm trying to figure out the settings I should use on my camera. I have a canon Rebel XTI. Also anyone know what area of the sky I should be watching in. This would be great help.

I am not much on night photography, but I read that to shoot meteors-
use smallest f-stop (wide open)
Turn off auto focus- focus on the horizon manually
use camera manual modes- auto won't do
use tripod or some other support
use cable release or auxiliary shutter control
exposures of 30 seconds work well, but 20 to 40 will do
get away from city lights

Cutie22, tell us how the meteor shower looked! I couldn't see anything from here at work due to the lights from the highway and the nearby chemical plants.
