I like it but it seems to be off somehow.

We'll, over all its a great picture, the reflection of the cross on the grass looks good. It does seem a little bright. Slightly over exposed, Could be the time of day that you took it when the sun is at its highest. You could try a different setting. try and play with your f stops and shutter speeds. Also you may want to use a dark polerizer filter.
Hope this helps......

I like the shot.. i like that the stone is 'crooked' and the shadow is straight. kinda gives it a unique appeal. The grass is the distraction i think. maybe you could darken it up a bit.. but i honestly like the color of the stone, i think that looks very natural.

KK was I any help??? lol..

Nice shot, but I agree that it's the grass that draws your eye away form the subject, it's too light.
Hope you don't mind i played with it just a little. Cropped out some grass upped that Sat just a touch and the contrast. I think it's a little better but didnt want to go too overboard lol

Thanks. I guess it will have to be like it is until Spring. I will go back there and shoot it again when the grass is better.

Once a photo is over exposed it is hard to fix. It is always better to under shoot then to over shoot. Much easier to fix an under exposed picture then it is an over exposed picture....

Better? Saturated it a bit and warmed it up a tad.

What do you use to edit... On windows Live Photo Gallery... It came on my computer... there is a fix mose where you can darken the shadows and darken the highlights... It really helps me when I over expose... and when all else fails... Draken it up... and the B&W it!!! Razz

Very nice pic though!!
